Cranberry Salad Recipe

1 16 oz can whole berry cranberry sauce
1 8 oz can crushed pineapple
1 10 frozen strawberries (thawed)
½ cup chopped pecans

Sweet Potato Pie (makes 2 pies)
2 unbaked Pie shells

Boil 5 medium sweet potatoes in 3-4 quarts of water
Peel and mash
Add:
1 ¼ sticks butter
1 ½ cups sugar
2 ½ nutmeg
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 ½ teaspoon baking powder
1/3 cup evaporated milk
1 egg

Mix together and pour into pie shells. I place unbaked pies on metal pans (like a pizza pan) which makes them brown better on the bottom, and they are easier to take out of the oven.
Bake at 350 degrees for 50 min.

I use this recipe because I can substitute Splenda for the sugar for DH. A dollop of cool whip on top is mighty good.

I have begun propagating my Angel Trumpet Plants for next spring. They were soooo beautiful this year. (over 50 blooms in this pic.

  2. Well, some call them 'Brugs' short for Brugmansia. They are the rage in zones 7-10; they need a long summer season.
